Gino’s Star Apprentice Wins WA PPG Colour Matching Award

PPG Refinish CompetitionWe are proud to announce that Marc Fritzsch, Spray Painting Apprentice at Gino’s Panel & Paint has won the coveted PPG Colour Matching Award for WA and placed third in the National competition!

For more than two decades, the annual PPG Colour Matching Competition has given automotive spray painting apprentices the opportunity to hone their colour theory and colour matching practical skills by competing in regional and state competitions.

Each contestant is provided with all the equipment and tinters they need and is given a set time period to match two colours – usually, one solid and one metallic / pearl. As well as colour matching skills, contestants are judged on safety, cleanliness and work practices.

MTA WA Assistant Group Training Manager Paul Harvey was ecstatic to see Marc receive notoriety for his craftmanship, stating Marc ought to be immensely proud of his abilities, particularly in the setting of a competitive environment..

Aaron Scagliotta, Director of Gino’s Panel & Paint is equally thrilled, but not surprised “Marc has been with us for nearly three years and has proven his talent and skill to us daily. We are proud of his accomplishments in this competition – but mostly happy to have him on our team.”

Congratulations Marc!
